Language Immersion Camp

Language Immersion Camp

Our Language Immersion Camp brings the American classroom experience directly to China, creating a fully English-speaking environment where students can learn by living the language. We hire experienced native English speakers and also sponsor American university students who are pursuing a degree in teaching to come teach subjects drawn from the U.S. curriculum in China. Students practice English throughout the day in both classes and in every activity, ensuring they learn authentic language skills and apply them immediately in real-life contexts.

Programs have ranged from large-scale camps with more than 40 American teachers and 300+ students to smaller, highly personalized groups of just 20. In addition to academics, participants enjoy after-school activities such as movie nights and even a prom night, making the experience both fun and culturally enriching.

We also offer customizable camp themes to suit different interests. For example, some programs have included outdoor adventures like hiking and camping, while others have focused on cultural exchange, where students practice presenting Chinese arts and traditions in English. These unique themes make learning dynamic and give students meaningful opportunities to use English in new settings.

Parent of student who attended a themed immersion camp

“We sent our 12 year old to Rainking’s four week immersion camp in 2018, and it was an experience unlike anything they could have had in school. In a traditional classroom, students often memorize vocabulary they rarely use and quickly forget. At the immersion camp, however, our child used new words the very same day while communicating with native English speakers. One highlight was when our child gave a presentation on Chinese arts to the foreign teachers. He was incredibly proud of himself and confident in sharing his culture. We truly believe this experience helped prepare our child to step into the world as a young ambassador for China.”
